Privacy Policy

Read how the website handles saved names, browser storage and contact messages.

Last updated: October 28, 2026. Name generation takes place in your browser and does not require registration. If you favorite a name, it is stored in your browser’s localStorage on your device; you may clear favorites using the button on the website or clear site data in browser settings. The website does not send generated names to a proprietary server. The contact form opens your own email app and does not submit data to a website backend. The font stylesheet may request fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive request information such as IP address. Hosting providers may process standard server logs for security and availability. This starter website does not include advertising or analytics scripts. If advertising, analytics or other services are installed, update this policy before enabling them. For privacy questions, contact hello@woodelfnamegenerator.com after that mailbox is configured.

Information needed to use the generator

The basic name-generation tools can run without an account, a payment or a request for your personal identity. Names are created in your browser using the website’s scripts. When you adjust generator settings, those selections are used to prepare results in that browser session.

Favorited names may be kept in your browser’s local storage. That information is stored on your device and may persist after you close the page. You can remove stored favorites using the available site controls where offered, or by clearing browser site data; doing so may also remove other local preferences.

Contact messages and voluntary information

If you use the contact form, your browser attempts to open a draft in your configured email app. The website’s static form itself is not a server-side mailbox or support database. Sending that draft is an action you take in the email app, and your email provider will process the message under its own policies.

Please do not include passwords, financial data, personal identification numbers or sensitive information in feedback. Any email correspondence, once a working address is configured, may include the contact details and message text you choose to send.

Hosting, performance and security

When the website is hosted publicly, the hosting provider may process routine technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, request times and error logs to deliver pages and protect infrastructure. The exact provider practices, retention periods and access controls depend on the deployed hosting configuration.

The website owner should review hosting settings, installed analytics, embedded media and third-party scripts before publication and update this notice to describe the actual services used. No absolute claim of zero tracking or zero logging should be made without verifying the live configuration.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

The static website package does not require behavioral advertising to generate names. If the operator adds Google AdSense, analytics, consent-management services or other third-party products, those services may use cookies or comparable technology subject to their settings and applicable law.

Before enabling personalized advertising, the site owner needs to disclose the actual providers and purposes and implement any consent controls required in the visitor’s region. This policy must be updated when services change; publishing this text alone does not create a consent banner or satisfy every privacy-law obligation.

Your choices and questions

You may decide not to send a contact email, avoid sharing personal data and clear locally saved names through browser controls. You can adjust browser privacy settings and manage third-party cookies where supported.

For a privacy question, use the contact page after confirming the published support mailbox is operational. This policy should be reviewed again when new site functionality or advertising tools are launched.
